Learn to Fly

With dedication, you can have your pilot’s license in a little more than a year. The typical student flies 55 hours before getting a license. Initially you fly with an instructor to master the basics of landing, takeoff, and emergency response. When you’re ready, your instructor will qualify you to fly by yourself. Thereafter, your time in the air will be a mix of time with your instructor and by yourself as you gain experience. Part of the time will be cross country trips to distant places.

While you’re on the ground, you’ll learn the academic side of flying including subjects such as the theory of flight, weather, navigation, and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
